Our farm

A small family orchard on the red earth of Veldanda.

Ramchandra Reddy and Rama Devi Yannam have spent more than thirty years learning what these trees want — when to prune, when to wait, when to pick. Today their orchard supplies some of the most discerning mango buyers in the world.

Rows of mango trees laden with fruit at Yannam Farms in Veldanda

Veldanda, Nagarkurnool

Our farm sits on the dry uplands of southern Telangana, in the village of Veldanda. The combination of red lateritic soil, hot dry summers and cool nights produces mangoes with concentrated sugars, perfumed aromatics and a firm flesh that travels well.

We do not over-water. We do not chase yields. We thin the fruit so each mango earns its place on the tree.

The growers

Ramchandra Reddy · Rama Devi

Ram learned the orchard from his father. Rama runs the post-harvest floor — grading, sorting, packing — with the same eye she uses in her kitchen. Together they decide every shipment by hand.

Our growing rhythm is shaped by three commitments: no early picking, no force-ripening with chemicals, and no shortcuts at the packhouse.

Patient ripening

Fruit stays on the tree until brix and aroma are right — never harvested for the calendar.

Natural inputs

Compost, neem, and minimal interventions. We work with the season, not against it.

One family's name
